Everything you need to know
Honest answers to the questions we hear most in the studio. Serving Wallsend, Newcastle, and the whole of Tyne and Wear.
01 / The Studio
The Studio
Where we are, how to find us, how we work.
01Where is K Beauty located?
We are based at Town Hall Chambers, High Street East, Wallsend NE28 7AT, right in the heart of Wallsend town centre in Tyne and Wear. The studio is a 2 minute walk from Wallsend Metro station, and there is local parking available nearby.
02What areas do you serve?
Our clients travel from right across Tyne and Wear. We regularly welcome guests from Wallsend, Newcastle, Jesmond, Gosforth, Heaton, Byker, North Shields, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay, South Shields, Gateshead, and everywhere in between. If you are in the North East, you can get to us easily.
03What are your opening hours?
Monday 9am to 5pm, Tuesday 9am to 3pm, Thursday 2pm to 6pm, Friday 9am to 5pm, and Saturday 11am to 3pm. We are closed on Wednesday and Sunday. Fresha always shows our live, up to date availability when you book.
04Is there parking near the studio?
Yes. Wallsend town centre has local street parking and paid car parks nearby, all within a short walk of Town Hall Chambers. If you prefer public transport, Wallsend Metro station is right around the corner.
05Is the studio accessible?
Please get in touch before booking if you have access needs and we will do our best to accommodate you. We want every client to feel welcome and comfortable at K Beauty.
02 / Booking & First Visit
Booking & First Visit
How to book, what to expect, and how to prepare.
01How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is to book online through Fresha, 24 hours a day. You can also call or message us directly during opening hours. New client consultations are always free.
02Do I need a consultation before my first appointment?
Not always, but you are welcome to book a free consultation if you want to chat through your options, see the studio, and decide on a style before committing. For lash extension newbies it can be a lovely way to feel completely confident.
03How should I prepare for my appointment?
Arrive with clean lashes and brows, no eye makeup, no mascara, and no heavy moisturiser or oily skincare around the eye area. Take your contact lenses out and bring glasses instead. Most of all, arrive relaxed. Appointments can last up to 3 hours, so settle in.
04Can I bring a phone or book to keep me occupied?
Your eyes will be closed for the full appointment, so phones and reading are not possible. Many clients drift off and have a little rest, which is exactly how we like it. Audiobooks or podcasts through headphones are absolutely fine.
05What if I need to reschedule?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. You can manage your booking through Fresha any time, or get in touch directly if you need help.
03 / Lash Extensions
Lash Extensions
Classic, hybrid, Russian volume, and angel lashes.
01What types of lash extensions do you offer?
We offer Classic, Hybrid, Russian Volume, and Angel lashes. Classic is one to one for a subtle enhancement. Hybrid blends classic and volume for textured fullness. Russian Volume uses handmade fans for a fluffy, full finish. Angel is soft and wispy.
02Which lash style is best for me?
That depends on your natural lashes, eye shape, and the look you want. During your first visit we will talk through options and recommend what will work beautifully for you. If you want a guide, we have a full comparison on our journal covering Russian Volume vs Classic.
03How long do lash extensions last?
Lashes grow and shed on their own natural cycle. With proper aftercare most clients rebook an infill every 2 to 3 weeks. A first full set followed by regular infills keeps you in full lashes year round.
04Are lash extensions safe for my natural lashes?
When applied correctly by a trained specialist and cared for properly, yes. Kate has over 7 years of experience and puts lash health above everything. We use lightweight, premium extensions and never overload your natural lashes.
05Will extensions damage my real lashes?
Not with us. Damage typically happens when extensions are too heavy, poorly applied, or when clients rub, pull, or sleep face down. We walk you through aftercare in detail so your natural lashes stay strong.
06How long does a full set take to apply?
Classic is around 1 hour. Hybrid and Angel are around 1 hour 15 minutes. Russian Volume is around 1 hour 30 minutes. Infills are typically 45 to 60 minutes.
04 / Korean Lash Lift
Korean Lash Lift
The low maintenance alternative to extensions.
01What is a Korean lash lift?
A Korean lash lift lifts and curls your natural lashes from the root, giving a wide awake, open eyed look without any extensions. It is a gentler, more natural finish than a traditional lash perm and lasts 6 to 8 weeks.
02How is a lash lift different from extensions?
Extensions add synthetic lashes to your natural ones for length and volume. A lash lift works only with your own lashes, lifting them so they look longer and more defined. Lift is lower maintenance but less dramatic than extensions.
03Does a lash lift include tint?
Yes. Every Korean lash lift at K Beauty includes a tint as standard, so your lashes look fuller and darker straight out of the appointment.
04Is the treatment painful?
Not at all. It is gentle, relaxing, and most clients rest through it completely.
05 / Brow Lamination
Brow Lamination
Full, groomed, lifted brows for weeks.
01What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a treatment that restructures and sets your natural brow hairs into a full, brushed up, groomed shape. At K Beauty every brow lamination includes shaping and tint as standard.
02How long does brow lamination last?
Results typically last 6 to 8 weeks. It is a genuinely low maintenance treatment, no daily styling needed.
03Will lamination damage my brows?
Not when applied correctly. We use professional grade solutions and time the process precisely for your brow hair thickness. Using a brow serum 2 to 3 times a week keeps the hairs nourished between appointments.
04Can I get my brows wet after lamination?
Keep them dry for the first 24 hours. After that, swimming, showering, and washing your face as normal are all absolutely fine.
06 / Aftercare
Aftercare
Getting the longest life out of every treatment.
01How do I take care of my lash extensions?
Keep them dry for the first 24 hours, cleanse daily with a lash safe foaming cleanser, brush with a spoolie every morning, and sleep on your back or side where possible. Full guide on the journal.
02Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
No, and you do not need to. Mascara, especially waterproof, breaks down the adhesive and shortens retention. If you are booked for Russian Volume the set is so full you will not miss it for a second.
03What products should I avoid near my lashes?
Oil based cleansers, makeup removers, and facial oils near the eye area. Oil dissolves the adhesive. Check the ingredients on eye creams too, anything with a high oil content can shorten retention.
04How often should I book infills?
Every 2 to 3 weeks is the sweet spot. Leave it much longer and you may need a full new set, which takes longer and costs more.
07 / Pricing & Payment
Pricing & Payment
What things cost, and how payment works.
01How much do your treatments cost?
Full up to date pricing is always visible on our services pages and on Fresha. Prices start from £25 for dermaplaning and go up to our Russian Volume full set.
02Do I pay in studio or when booking?
You can pay in studio by card or cash after your appointment. Fresha may request a deposit for certain treatments or new clients.
03Do you offer packages or bundles?
From time to time we run seasonal offers and packages, usually shared on Instagram and Facebook. Follow us to catch them first.
04Do you sell aftercare products?
Yes, we stock lash cleansers, brushes, and brow serums in studio. Ask us on the day if you need anything and we will sort you out.
